| so...if any of you came over here within the past month or so (which is probably a small number, seeing as how y'all were all at camp for the most part of the time), you heard my background audio...it was shaun groves promoting his awesome new CD "white flag". so...i've taken that down in place of, well, nothing. but if you wouldn't mind taking a little time out of your busy day and clicking over to shaun's shlog, you will learn, laugh, and get to know shaun. he's a favorite artist of mine, he co-pastors the Bible study i've been a part of this summer (and will continue to be a part of this school year), and he is someone i would consider a friend. so, that's my post for the, uh, week...cause i don't post much. that's what i have to say.
well, that, and i have flat feet, bunyons, and hyperflexed ankles. but you didn't really need to know that.
| - listening to ME play the Hummel concerto, not this exact CD...ME!!!
ahhh, perfection.
no, i did not achieve this very desirable, yet unattainable goal. i'm talking about the game. you know...

perfection.
i used to play this game all the time when i was a kid. all the freakin' time, especially when i was over at alexis' house.
so when i went to babysit tonight and saw in the family's board game closet that they had the game of perfection, i just had to play it. and thankfully, the little girl i was sitting agreed to play it with me. it was awesome. it was so fun to see her reaction to it popping up. we played it for about 30 mintues, and by the end of the 30 minutes, we could get all the pieces in their spots in less than 30 seconds. yay for teamwork. hehe.
i love old games. they make me reminisce and think about the times when i was so innocent (not that i'm not right now, but i was a bit more innocent back then). we also played candy land. the little girl had said "i haven't played this game since i was 4" (she's 6), and i said honestly "i played this game last month." abbey brought it over to my little birthday get-together, and we had fun playing. though, we didn't play it but 5 times, cause she also had the game of LIFE. i love that one, too. i was the only one to escape it with no kids. carissa had more kids than could fit in that dang car. that was a fun night. i'm kinda glad more people didn't come cause i honestly don't think it would've been as fun cause more people would mean more limits on what games we could play.
so...now i'm telling myself that i have to go to bed...there is NO WAY i'm gonna miss church in the morning. i WILL be in bed by 1. i WILL. but first, i'm gonna finish watching ER.
| - 7. Heaven Hang On
short but sweet...
i went to camp like 2 weeks ago...for 6 glorious days. yes. i saw the bears. it was very exciting driving up chip/chick hill and there they were, waltzing up the hill :) got to see the faces of those cherokees when debbye walked in to tarwheels to tap them out. that was hilarious! got to see my girl jenny holley make Belle. yay!
came back just in time for shaun groves' release party. yay for new CD's reaching #1 on the charts!!!
i saw 'charlie and the chocolate factory' twice this week. it was even funnier the second time around because i went with 7 other folks...and my laughing was triggered more by the laughing of the others than it was by the movie...but that's the best kind of laugh, ain't it?
i'm going to get to see brooke (& erin & brad) a week from tuesday! hooray! and i'll see watermark as well :) can't wait. then on the 6th i'm going home. it'll be my first solo drive home (though i kinda count spring break as a solo drive since carissa slept the whole way). can't wait to see farah and have cheesecake shakes!!!
that is my short and sweet update :) enjoy!
